The Heart Foundation recently held an event in support of women with heart disease. The event was hosted by Natarsha Belling who is a passionate supporter of The Heart Foundation and hopes to bring more attention to the cause.
Presenters on the day included Rebecca Davies (President of The Heart Foundation NSW Board) and Kelly Landry (Channel 9's Getaway Program). The women involved shared their stories from both the research perspective and being diagnosed with the disease.
"Heart disease is the leading cause of death in Australian women and claims the life of 24 Australian women every day."
Marina Antoniou designed a necklace 'From The Heart' for the luncheon, which was auctioned off on the day. The pendant is made up of two tear-shaped halves, which overlap and come together to form a sculptural shape resembling a heart. The necklace is designed to be worn just above the heart. They are also available online at www.marinaantoniou.com with a percentage of sales going to The Heart Foundation.
