From humble beginnings in a Byron Bay Hinterland farmhouse kitchen, it all started with getting the grips on an old family recipe. Many amazing cookie variations were born by sticking to tradition with an added twist. Introducing local organic macadamia nuts, passionfruit, lemon myrtle and ginger - the delectable list goes on. These combinations were then shared with the community at the markets, and, unsurprisingly, they swiftly became popular! They soon realised that their original product and authentic ingredients were something people wanted to travel for. Getting to know their fast-growing loyal customers was a big push to elevate the business from the local market to the global market. 

At the heart of the Byron Bay Cookie Co’s narrative is where it was born. Nestled in the Northern Rivers is the most Easterly Point in Australia, a place where creativity and ideas are rooted in the earth; here, the location is a pure source of inspiration. Drawing from regional ingredients and natural flavours sets them apart from your standard cookie. The ever-growing range also consists of cookie bites, crispbreads and butterfings. They never fail on attention to detail, combining the most harmonious flavours and scrumptious textures.

They recently celebrated their 30th anniversary with a collaboration alongside Nestlé’s famous KitKat, their unique and sought-after recipes inspired a new range flavours from these chocolate giants. It is always a proud moment to witness one of our suppliers rise to such well-deserved success and recognition. At the end of the day, Byron Bay Cookie Company is all about connection, sharing moments with something sweet (or savoury) and having a true appetite for life.
