Privacy Policy for Multi-Product Options

This Privacy Policy describes how Multi-Product Options (the "App") handles information when you install it on your Shopify store.

1. Minimal Data Access (Scopes)

Our App is designed with privacy in mind. We only request the minimum permissions necessary to provide product customization features. We use the following Shopify scopes:

  • read_products / write_products: To display and sync custom options with your product variants.

  • read_files / write_files: To allow customers to upload images or documents for personalized orders.

  • write_cart_transforms: We use Shopify Functions to securely expand cart data and adjust item totals based on selected options without storing sensitive customer information.

2. No Customer Personal Data Collection

We do not collect, store, or share any personal identifiable information (PII) of your customers, such as names, email addresses, or phone numbers. Our App only processes technical data required to customize product selections and calculate totals during the checkout process.

3. How We Use Technical Data

The technical data we access (Shop URL and Product Metadata) is used solely to:

  • Render custom swatches, dropdowns, and file upload fields on your product pages.

  • Ensure accurate value adjustments at the cart level using Shopify's native Cart Transform API.

  • Provide technical support for your specific store configuration.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

  • App Uninstallation: When you uninstall the App, we automatically receive a mandatory webhook from Shopify. Within 48 hours, we permanently delete all technical configurations related to your store from our systems.

  • Compliance: We fully comply with Shopify’s mandatory GDPR webhooks (customers/data_request, customers/redact, and shop/redact), ensuring no data remains after your request or app removal.

5. Third-Party Sharing

We do not sell or share your store’s technical data with any third parties. All processing happens within the secure Shopify ecosystem.
