The Northern Rivers is famous for its abundance of Macadamia farms, and local company Duck Creek has been dedicated to creating the most delicious macadamias for over thirty years. Beginning their humble roots in nearby Newrybar in 1987, their journey has gained them notoriety worldwide. Duck Creek combines the finest indigenous ingredients with European couverture chocolate for premium sweet treats and sensational savoury flavours, including wasabi, garlic and rosemary; there is something for every palette. 

We are so lucky to have them merely a stone's throw from our base in Byron Bay, as they are a great part of our community alongside their delicious products. Welcoming everyone to come and tour their beautiful location and learn all about their cultivation practices from their original farmhouse site, the hinterland view is worth going for alone. Everything is grown, produced and packed on site, so you can witness the whole process and get a true sense of what they are all about. 

Alongside their irresistible treats, they have developed a range of natural body care using cold pressed macadamia oil. The oil is a nourishing ingredient that replaces vital nutrients in our skin that are commonly lost through the process of ageing and exposure to environmental factors. This wonder oil acts as a barrier, rich in Vitamin E that maintains a youthful glow. It is also high in squalene and omegas, which are ideal for sensitive or dry skin due to their healing properties. They combine their regional produce with seaweed extract, rich in minerals like iodine and silicon that are antibacterial and anti-inflammatory, making it suitable for combination and oily skin as it acts as an organic form of disinfectant. So whilst you are touring the farm, you can also source some seriously good skincare from body lotion to cleansers to scrubs; it is well worth a visit!
