Choosing just five was not an easy feat. Byron Bay is an adult’s playground (and children’s!) with so much to do here, we thought it was best to give you a little insight into our favourite spots and activities so that you can fit as much in on your next visit!
Fun At The Farm
The Farm is a Byron Bay institution, rightfully earning its place in our top favourite fun things to do here. With an array of delicious eating options, you could easily spend the entire day grazing, not unlike the gorgeous farm animals in residence. Their restaurant is run by the famous Three Blue Ducks, their culinary skills and ingredients ars simply unmatched, wine and dine in the heart of the venue. For a more casual trip, why not grab a coffee and takeaway scrummy Portuguese tart while you walk around the grounds, enjoying the Highland cows, Macadamia forest or opt for a full guided tour, a great activity for the whole family.
Sit In The Sun At The Stone & Wood Brewery
What better way to embrace the laid back way of Byron Bay than with a cold Stone & Wood beer, their local brewery located in the Industrial Estate is the place to be on a warm arvo. Take a guided tour around and learn about the history of Stone and Wood, their conscious brewing techniques not to mention a chance to sample a few (or maybe all) of their beloved beers.
Cocktail Hour At The Cape Byron Distillery
Home to Brookies Gin, the Cape Byron Distillery lives in the Byron Bay Hinterland, here you can spend an afternoon on an exclusive tour of the local Rainforest and Distillery. Learn about the origins of the Brook family, the beautiful property and their unique gin-making process. Finish off on the tropical balcony with a premium cocktail and tasting. One for the Gin Lovers!
Life At Its Best On The Lighthouse Walk
They say the best things in life are free, and we couldn’t agree more. With places like Wategoes Beach and The Pass right on our doorstep, we could honestly pinch ourselves. We suggest combining these two with the breathtaking Lighthouse walk. Take it all in whilst strolling along the boardwalk, watch the waves bountiful with surfers and dolphins wash in before heading up the steps. Be ready for a little sweat, but trust us, the view is so worth it. Once you reach the top you are able to see far and wide across Tallows to Belongil, Mount Warning and so much more. Finish off through the vibrant bush and watch out for hiding wallabies.
Jump In At Julian Rocks
Some of the most stunning things to see in Byron are underwater. The marine life is particularly rich and vibrant around the Cape. Wild Byron offers amazing snorkel and freediving tours off of Julian Rocks, its location is a convergence point of tropical and cool waters making it a unique hotspot for underwater wildlife. See Leopard Sharks, Manta Rays and Turtles and even Humpback Whales between the months of June and November. Everything’s better under the sea!
