Autumn is a magical season here in Byron; with the weather still warm and gorgeous colour tones everywhere you look, there is always an array of fun activities to do during this time of year. We have put together a local’s guide to our favourite places to go and adventures to enjoy in the Bay!
1. Mornings at the Weekly Famers’ Market
Every Thursday, the Byron Farmers’ Market is a hub of activity and incredible local produce. With a strong focus on selling sustainable and organic fresh fruit, vegetables and more, there is so much to see and taste! The sense of community is electric; it's a great place to chat with vendors, listen to live music and relish in the best of the best from the local suppliers. Why not pick up some delectable regional cheeses to accompany our Ultimate Indulgence Hamper, paired perfectly with our chosen crispbreads, olives and chutneys, as well as two bottles of Annie Lane’s for an unbeatable seasonal platter!
Byron's local Tea Tree Lakes are a unique and rejuvenating experience - certainly worth a day trip if the sun is out. Here, you are surrounded by the sounds and sights of nature, a place where you can immerse yourself in the soothing still pools and soak it all in. The cool and calming waters house healing properties due to the Tea Trees that grow alongside and seep natural oils; these do wonders for your skin, and bathing here is a traditional practice of the Bundjalong people. Take along our Byron Bites Hamper for an afternoon snack, including chocolate coated macadamias, cookies and more yummy treats to enjoy by the lakes.
There is no better way to start your morning than the Cape Byron Lighthouse walk. Take in the incredible panoramic views and watch the golden sunrise from Australia’s Eastern most point whilst looking for dolphins and whales as the rest of the world slowly wakes up. The autumn mornings are always a rich display of colour across the water, making it the perfect way to begin a fabulous day. Come home to a beautifully brewed tea of coffee from our Blends of Byron Gift Box full of premium products, including chai, English breakfast and plunger coffee. 4. A Trip to Habitat
Byron’s industrial estate is ever-evolving; it is an epicentre of creativity and community. It is also home to many brands born in the Northern Rivers making it a great place to shop at exclusive flagship stores. Habitat is a stunningly designed hub of office spaces, homes, retail, beauty and dining. Enjoy a relaxed lunch at Barrio or Vagabond before exploring the collection of local shops. Pick up some mixers on the way home from the nearby North Byron Hotel Bottle Shop to make some gin & tonics with our Brookies Gin Hamper, an excellent accompaniment to a Byron Bay sunset.
A trip to Byron isn’t complete without a bit of indulgence, and Comma is the place for some local pampering. As soon as you step foot into their local studio, you are met with an immediate sense of calm; the tasteful decor, subtle low lighting, and herbal fragrances create a place of pure zen. Choose from their holistic massages and facials menu, and we guarantee you will leave feeling totally recharged. Continue the fun with our Prosecco Pamper Hamper, enjoy a refreshing foot soak and toast to another wonderful day in Byron.
