With winter firmly set in you'll love this hot cup of chocolate-y goodness!
Ingredients
3 teaspoons loose-leaf, organic black tea
1 cinnamon stick
2 star anise
8 cardamom pods
2 whole cloves
1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
1 vanilla bean
1 teaspoon dried chilli flakes
2 teaspoons cocoa powder
1/4 cup grated, organic cacao chocolate
4 teaspoons coconut blossom sugar OR 2 tablespoons honey
1 1/2 cups water
1/2 cup milk, water or coconut milk
Method
1. Combine all above ingredients in a saucepan (excluding milk).
2. Bring to a soft boil over a medium-high heat. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes stirring often.
3. Add milk and simmer, stirring occasionally for a further 5 minutes. Strain into mugs. Serve with grated chocolate and chilli flakes on top. Enjoy!
