The Story of Our Local Byron Bay Brands

Sometimes living and working in Byron Bay, we have to pinch ourselves; we are not only surrounded by the unparalleled natural beauty of the Northern Rivers, but we are also sharing a community with like-minded creatives, makers, and bakers…who make up such a big and beautiful part of our hampers. We choose our suppliers based on their ethos and high-quality products that seamlessly blend with providing only the best that Byron Bay can offer. Here are a few of the regional brands we love working with every day!

Kitz Living Foods began business in their humble family kitchen back in 2006; they prioritise making nutritious and mindful snacks that are suitable for everyone. From those with strict dietary restrictions to those with none, their delicious treats appeal to one and all. Founders Mandy and Scott have paved the way for premium plant-based products that are both sweet and savoury and, of course, lovingly handmade. They create the tastiest, guilt-free treats, from the banana, date and walnut chunks to the coconut dream raw slice.

Duck Creek has been dedicated to creating the most magical macadamias for over thirty years. They showcase the best indigenous ingredients that they grow solely at their local farm in Newrybar, a stone's throw from Byron. They have a glowing reputation for welcoming everyone with open arms and letting you try the most divine range of nuts. Macadamias grow regionally, so it feels extra special to embrace a native delicacy. You simply can’t go past their dark chocolate coated macadamias, perfect to pair with a glass of wine at the end of the day.

The Byron Bay Cookie Company is practically an institution here. Their mouthwatering products leave a trail of crumbs worldwide. Their popularity is far from surprising, with an ever-growing range of delectable cookies, crispbreads, and butterfingers. They strongly focus on perfecting flavours, textures, and utter indulgence. Their Falwasser gluten-free crispbreads are a staple on any grazing platter, and we love pairing them with cheese and a generous helping of Wattle Tree Creek Farm’s chutney! Tucked away in the Byron hinterlands, Wattle Tree Creek Farm produces a variety of bush-based jams and chutneys that are to die for. Fresh, local ingredients such as lemon myrtle, Davidson plums, and finger limes make for a fruity and fun addition to many of our hampers.
